Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account information — your email address and, if you sign up with Google, your Google account name.
• Team/roster data — for coach accounts, the names, jersey numbers, positions, class years, and optional photos of players you add to your roster.
• Opponent scouting data — notes, strengths/weaknesses, and roster information about opposing teams that a coach chooses to enter. This necessarily includes information about people who are not HoopVault users themselves.
• Content you upload — film links, written notes, practice plans, play diagrams, and images you add to your account.
• Performance data — game stats, goals, and development metrics (e.g. vertical jump, sprint times) you choose to log.
• Payment information — if you subscribe, our payment processor (Stripe) collects your card details directly. We never see or store your full card number ourselves.

Why we collect it

We use this information solely to operate HoopVault: to authenticate your account, store and display the content you add, process subscription payments, and respond if you contact us for support. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

A note on minors' information

Because HoopVault is a coaching tool, rosters and scouting reports may include information about players who are minors. That information is entered by a coach or team staff member managing their own team — HoopVault does not collect information directly from children, and does not knowingly allow minors to create their own HoopVault accounts. If you are a coach or team administrator entering this kind of information, you're responsible for having the appropriate authority to do so (for example, as part of your role with your team or program).

Who we share it with

We rely on a small number of service providers to run HoopVault, and your data passes through them only as needed to provide the service:

• Supabase — our database, authentication, and file storage provider.
• Stripe — our payment processor, for anyone on a paid plan.
• Vercel — our hosting provider.

We don't share your data with anyone else, and we don't sell it.

Cookies

HoopVault sets one cookie: a session cookie (via Supabase) that keeps you logged in. It's strictly necessary for the app to function — we don't use any analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies.

Your rights

You can access or export your data at any time by using HoopVault normally, and you can request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing us (below). We'll process deletion requests promptly.

Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data (encrypted connections, access controls at the database level), but no system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
